Car Two, 8:30
"Hey Billy," says Mr. Nilsen, "Want to come with me to the cafe? We need some plastic knives and forks if we want to eat dinner."
Sara tries to block out the yells from the family in back. To her relief it looks like the father and son are leaving, for the moment. She thinks about Colin, who is in the cafe car. Maybe having him come home for Christmas break wasn't such a bad idea after all. My parents were very well behaved, she thinks. They are always so normal when other people are around. Maybe Colin couldn't tell how crazy they are. I'm sure they liked him. But then, who wouldn't? Dalton tries to sleep, but knows he won't be able too. This is going to be the longest nine hours of his life. As if a long train ride wasn't bad enough to begin with. Maybe he should just bail early, and keep the product for himself. Yeah, he thought, what a great way to get myself killed. With any luck I can O.D. before they get me. Ada and the pierced man are facing away from each other, each with their headphones at full blast.
