Party Central, 2 AM

Todd closes the door behind him and looks out at the party with a blank expression. "Everyone seems to be looking at me, I'm probably just seeing things. I can't believe all this is happening to me," he thinks to himself.

Just then Nicki walks out, followed by Bill. Nicki's clothes are disheveled and her makeup smeared. She makes an effort to straighten her clothing. The people on the dance floor dance awkwardly, their heads rotated to look away but still catch the action out of the corner of their eyes. Bill flashes a smile. Nicki catches Todd's staring eyes and looks back at him blankly. Bill walks over to the couch and sits down as Nicki continues to stare at Todd. Finally she walks over to him.

"Hi. Nice party," she says as she fidgets with her dress.

"What the fuck is wrong with you? What were you doing in the bathroom?"

She looks at him with a small grin. "I think that's my business. I can do whatever I want, can't I? You are the one who dumped me."

"That's because you fucked some other guy, just like tonight, you cheap slut! Why don't you fuck the entire room? The bathroom's open, take someone in there! Have a good time! I can't believe I ever loved a whore like you!"

She looks at him with horror. The entire room is silent; everyone is frozen in their spots staring at Todd and Nicki with wide eyes and blank expressions.

"Todd, go fuck yourself. Get off your damn high-horse and realize that people make mistakes! I slipped up once and you ended the whole damn thing, I can never forgive you for that. So go to your new slut and tell her your problems, I don't want to hear it. Bye."

Nicki walks out the front door. Todd leans against the wall and slides to the ground. The music is long over and the room empties as the partiers shake their heads and shuffle out the door. "I take it this thing's over," one of them says as he walks out, "and even if it's not, it's gotten way too depressing."
