Day 1: Ned recognizes Phil and recites events from their past until Phil fakes recognition and walks away. Ned follows, trying to sell Phil insurance. Phil steps in a deep puddle and Ned says: "Watch out, that first step's a doozy."
Day 2: Phil fakes recognizing Ned to get away quickly, but Ned follows. Phil begs off, saying: "I'm not feeling real well." Ned uses it as an opportunity to sell insurance and puts an arm around Phil, buddy-buddy. Phil freaks and runs into puddle, Ned says: "Watch out, that first step's a doozy," again.
Day 3: Phil shoves Ned. Ned follows him. Phil shoves Ned again and jumps into the puddle to get away.
Day 4: Phil knocks Ned out with one punch, then watches another man step in the puddle and jumps over it himself.
Day 37: Phil hugs Ned tightly and asks him to call in sick and spend the day with him in a seductive tone of voice. Ned flees.
Day 41: Ned is Phil's insurance agent. Ned goes away gracefully with Rita's encouragement at the dinner after he says hi to Rita and Phil.
