Sara and Norman enter the living room. They discuss his situation with Anne. He insists that Sara talked Anne out of going to a hotel with him that weekend. Sara replies that she only helped Anne realize what she would have discovered on her own, that it wasn't worth upseting Tom and the rest of the family. Norman looks out into the garden and notices that the cat is still up in a tree. Sara goes into the dining room to check on Reg.
