EMAIL: [3/15/99] Phil, although my inclination is always toward free software, I have to admit your data conflict work is clever enough to quality for a patent if any software is. I wanted to let you know immediately by email because today *I'm* the one who won't be able to meet for tai chi. But I can see how people could try to implement simplified - and inferior - versions of such a concept, and get these to market sooner than your more finely honed system. How will you deal with these competitors, who will get people to accept their lower-quality software and establish their brand early? |
