"Right, right, I'll come over now," Sally said into the phone. Distances were starting to seem vague; she put her hand out towards the door knob, not sure if she could reach or not. No, she knew she couldn't. "Man, I'm there, I'm there." And her feet were far far away. It was working, she wanted to get over to her friends' place quickly, enjoy the party. It was Saturday, after all. She had to enjoy herself, she didn't have much time before Monday. "I'm coming, I'm coming over right now."
She put the phone down and managed to get it back into the cradle with a little adjusting. Then she opened the door and carefully carefully down the stairs, and out into the rain without her coat.
