Sighting the cyclops in his bow sights, the archer goes in for the kill. He lets loose an arrow, straight and true into the eye of the Cyclops. This noticably distresses the Cyclops, making him rather angry and not thinking too clearly. In a fit of rage, the Cyclops wrenches his hands on the suspension bridge supports holding the bridge on to the near side. Losing his balance on the canyon's edge, he begins to fall into the canyon. Well, fighting for his life, he holds onto the bridge supports. Fortunately, his weight is too much, too quickly, for the bridge supports, and the Cyclops plummets to the bottom of the canyon unmoving.

With the bridge gone, the options have become limited. There isn't another bridge across the river within days travel. There seems to be a path leading down into the gorge, but the far side's slope is much steeper than the near sides. Tough spot.

With a scowl on his face, the archer complains, "That was my best arrow. I definitely am not letting that oaf keep it."

The magician looking up says, "After all that, I want to make sure that the Cyclops is dead. Let's go down and check."
