The trail steepens as you begin to climb the mountain. Large chunks of basalt line the edge of the path, adding a decorative touch.
You notice an interesting cave about twenty metres off to the side. You start towards it, but remember what the ranger back at the Visitors' Centre said about staying on the marked trail. You certainly don't want to get lost.
