This seminar series covers a range of plasma and
fusion energy topics, including discussion of the
global energy picture, the physics of fusion, fusion
reactors and tokamaks.
Experts in the field will
give lectures on advanced research topics in the
areas of plasma physics and fusion energy.

Center, including the Alcator C-Mod tokamak, are
part of this seminar series.

Attendance and participation are a significant part
of the final grade in this course. Students are expected
to attend all class sessions. There are no problem
sets, exams, or required textbooks for the course.
will be a short term paper, 5-10 pages, on a plasma
and fusion science topic. The term paper is due the
last day of class.
The final grade for the course will be based on the following:
