These are a few links that may be of interest... This is the Engineering Duty Officer (ED) homepage. The MIT 2N U. S. Navy officers are from the ED community. The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is the sponsor for the 2N program. The Carderock Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center (CDNSWC) is the one of the U. S. Navy's premier research and development centers for naval ship design and engineering. The MIT Center for Ocean Engineering (OE) For information about the GRE exam (the general test is required for admission to MIT OE graduate school) go here. The Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) educates many U. S. and foreign naval officers, as well as Engineering Duty Officers in many different areas. In addition, they are responsible for administering all U.S. Navy Postgraduate Education programs at civilian institutions (CIVINS). The U. S. Naval Academy educates undergraduate officers. The Office of Naval Research (ONR) sponsors much of the Navy's latest science and technology developments.
