Laboratory 3.022/3.024 Policies

All students taking laboratories 3.022 and 3.024 should be aware of the following policies to be followed during the course of this semester. These include:

• Student collaboration on labs

Students may discuss lab materials amongst themselves, but answering of homework questions must be done independently.

• Absenteeism:

Students absent from a lab must bring a letter from the appropriate MIT office confirming their need to be absent.

• Lab Quiz:

1. A 10 minute quiz will be administered promptly at 9:05am at the UGTL lab (8-107) at the beginning of each lab session. This quiz will be worth 10% of lab grade. The quiz is intended to test whether the student has read the preparatory material in advance of the lab.

2. Students arriving after 9:15 AM will get 0% credit for quiz.

• Due date for labs:

1. Due one week from date of lab (by 5pm).

2. Drop off box located in 8-101.

• Tardiness:

1. Students arriving 30 minutes late to the laboratory will lose 50% of credit.
