Guidelines for 3.091 Tutoring

3.091 students who are considering obtaining a tutor should follow these steps first:

  • Attend all lectures and recitations.
  • Visit your recitation instructor during office hours, or a mutually agreed upon time to obtain necessary help.
  • If tutorial help is considered necessary, this must be recommended by your recitation instructor who will refer you to Ms. Hilary Sheldon, 8-201, x3-3279, for assignment to a tutor.

Make-Up Quizzes

If you need to make up a quiz, please arrange the time and location with your recitation instructor. Make-ups will be offered ONLY to students who missed the quizzes for valid reasons. Arrange to take your make-up promptly.

Recitation Attendance and Changes

In order to ensure that we have enough copies of handouts, we must INSIST that you attend the recitation section to which you were assigned by the registrar. For just cause, you may change your section by contacting Ms. Hilary Sheldon in Room 8-201, x3-3279.
