PRESENTATION GUIDELINES DOWNLOADING AND UPLOADING FILES To download any file from this web site simply click on a hot-word linked to a downloadable file or right click on an image and select the SavePictureAs... option. Next, choose the folder in which you want to save the image or file and start the downloading. All zipped files are self-extractable (you don't need to have WinZip software to decompress them). Just double click the .exe files and they will automatically decompress in the current directory. To upload files you will need a special type of program called File Transfer Protocol, like the one below. The user ID and password you should use to connect to our server will be sent to all the team members by e-mail. Click to download WS_FTPLE if you don't have other FTP program: WORKSPACE, MID-TERM AND PRE-FINAL SUBMISSIONS Clicking on Fall2000/UrbanForm and then on TeamX (where X is your team letter) in the side menu you will go to the WORKSPACE page, where your work in progress will be displayed (you can post up to 20 images there). Clicking on the words MID-TERM and PRE-FINAL in that page wiil take you to the pages that display ten images and one text document for each of those submissions. To display the images for your team's pages upload your thumbnails (120x80 pixels, jpeg format) to the following folders:

FINAL PRESENTATION The final submission is in a special section called Finals, under Fall2000/UrbanForm in the side menu. It displays a page with links for each group's final presentation home page, which will be opened in a new browser window. The pages being displayed right now are just templates that you can copy and modify in terms of colors (for background and text) and text style, size and contents. The lay-out and navigation structure must be kept, though, so that we can maintain a presentation standard for all the groups. This will make it easier for the reviewers to see your work. The number and size of images should also be respected.
