        The seminar will balance explorations of topics led by faculty with student presentations.
        The latter will focus on development of a thesis research topic.

        The two-week sessions led by individual faculty will include student assignments- design problems, experiments, and analyses.
        Each of these four assignments will count for 15% of the class grade, for a total of 60%.
