(2-0-4) Structure and function of membrane proteins and the roles of membrane lipids. The biochemical basis of membrane processes, including intracellular transport, cell-cell communication, signal transduction, and cell adhesion and motility. Basic principles and experimental approaches illustrated through examination of classic and current literature.
