May 8, 2013: Optional extension for DP2
To help the apparently many students who have several big projects due on
Friday, we will allow you to submit DP2 until Sunday 5p. This is optional: if
you can submit Friday, feel free to do so. It would help instructors in their
effort to grade DP2 papers.

April 23, 2013: No lecture Wednesdsay April 24
MIT has canceled classes for Wednesday April 24, so there will be no 6.033
lecture. We will not make up this lecture. The lecture was going to
cover an advanced topic: replicated state machines with Paxos, which we were not
going to test you on. Monday's lecture already covered the idea of replicated
state machines, which you need to know about to understand the PNUTS paper and
is a topic for the final quiz. If you are interested in Paxos, you can read the
lecture notes for tomorrow (which were prepared in the last few days), or take
6.824 next year.
