6.041/6.431 Announcements Archive, Spring 2008

• Welcome to the Spring 2008 term of 6.041/6.431! Please read over the Course Handout BEFORE coming to the first lecture on Wednesday 2/6 at 12:00PM in 34-101.
• Recitation & Tutorial assignments are posted here. The permanent link is the second bullet in the below list. A pdf of the listing is available here.
• Recitation & Tutorial assignments have been updated. At this point, many of the recitations are over capacity.
• Problem Set 1 is due this Wednesday, before the lecture. Collection baskets will be available outside 34-101 between 11:45 AM and 12:15 PM. No problem sets will be accepted after 12:15 PM.
• Staff office hours are now posted. (Due to random fluctuations in atmospheric pressure, the office hours may incur occasional changes. Please refer to the staff page for up-to-date information.)
• Problem #4 in PS03 touches/relies on material covered this week and will therefore not be graded. However, you already have the tools to solve it, so make sure to review the solutions this weekend!
• An information sheet concerining Quiz 1 is now available.
• Reminder: Quiz 1 review Thursday 03/06 in E25-111. Review Slides.
• Quiz 1 is this Wednesday, 3/12, from 7:30-9:30PM in Walker Memorial. Please arrive early.
• No recitations on R 3/13, but there will be tutorials on R 3/13 and F 3/14.
• Quiz 1 stats and solutions are now posted.
• There will be no tutorials on 3/20 and 3/21 and no staff office hours during Spring Break. Have a good break everyone!
• A few reminders regarding the problem sets:
  
  • 6.041 Students: Hand in your p-set in the bin corresponding to your TA, regardless of who your recitation instructor is.
  • 6.431 Students: Hand in your p-set in the bin corresponding to Dimitri Bertsekas / Aman, regardless of who your recitation instructor/TA is.
  • The collection baskets are only available until 12:15 PM.
  • P-sets will be handed back by your assigned TA. All unclaimed p-sets will be put on the metal shelves outside 24-312 by Friday evening.
• An information sheet concerining Quiz 2 is now available.
• An updated course handout is posted.
• Quiz 2 is Wednesday, April 16th, 7:30 - 9:30 PM at Walker Memorial (50-340). Review slides and prep materials are posted.
• Quiz 2 and solution are posted online. Note that dropping date is Thursday, April 24th.
