Abstract |
|||
Xtremix is a way for people to alter a stream of music in real time
using nothing but hand gestures. In a vague sense, it is much like a
virtual DJ turntable. Different gestures are mapped to different
real-time audio effects. For example, certain gestures would be used to
control volume, different high-pass and low-pass filters, and reverb
effects. In addition, users will be able to prerecord loops and play
them back over a streaming song. These playbacks will also be
controlled by hand gestures.
