Lottery Rules
1. You MUST attend the first class meeting to enter the lottery.
Even if you are pre-registered, or registered, for the class you must attend class on Wednesday and enter the lottery.
2. Fill out the form provided at the first class meeting.
3. We can accommodate 24 students in the subject. (Last term 40 entered the lottery.)
4. If this is your first attempt to enter 6.163, you get 1 (one) number in the lottery.
5. If it is your second (or subsequent) attempt, you get 2 (two) numbers in the lottery.
6. There is no preference for graduating students, or for Course VI students.
7. On the lottery form, tell us your preferences for when your lab session meets. We will accommodate your preferences as best we can. We will not schedule you for a time you list as "Cannot do".
You MUST be able to attend ALL three hours of your lab session EVERY week of the term.
8. There will be Photography Workshop on Saturday and Sunday. You must attend one of these two days. Tell us your availability on the lottery form. If you absolutely cannot attend, note that on the form. If you get in via the lottery, we will discuss your options with you then.
9. The results will be announced by email on the Wednesday evening.
