The Prolog

Parts Sorting Session

Sunday, January 6, 2006, 4:00pm, Room 38-600

Attendance at this session is mandatory: each team must provide one person-hour of manual labor helping to sort out the kit parts. Usually this session is a lot of fun as you get to meet other people in the class and see all the goodies in your kit.

Lecture 1

Monday, January 7, 2008, 10:00am, Room 34-101

Attendance at this session is mandatory: each team must have at least 50% of its members (rounded up) in attendance. In this session, we will go over the contest rules and organization of the class and handout kits. Please also bring your team fee payment and payment form to this lecture.

Lecture 2

Wednesday, January 9, 2008, 10:00am, Room 34-101

In this session we will cover the HappyBoard, debugging, board I/O and the gyro.

Lecture 3

Friday, January 11, 2008, 10:00am, Room 34-101

In this session we will cover threads and locks, and advanced concepts like PID and FSM.

Workshop 1

Thursday and Friday, January 10-11, 2008, Time TBD, Room TBD

Soldering and HappyBoard assembly. Bring your HappyBoard and soldering supplies if you have them.

Workshop 2

Monday and Tuesday, January 14-15, 2008, Time TBD, Room TBD

LEGO assembly and gearboxes. Bring your LEGOs to this workshop.

All work on robots will cease at precisely 5pm. All robots will be impounded in 38-600.

The Contest, Seeding Rounds

Determines seeding of the Final Rounds. This event is open to the public.

The Contest, Final Rounds

Thursday, January 31, 2008, 6:00pm, 26-100

The final rounds of the competition. Robots will compete until a winner is decided. This event is open to the public. This event will be televised live on MIT Cable.

Attendance at this session is mandatory: each team must provide one person-hour of manual labor helping to clean up the lab so that we can give it back to 6.111 and 6.115 the way we found it.
