NOTES:
Notes will be handed out periodically.


HOMEWORKS:
All homework sets are due at the beginining of class on the assigned due date. You may work together on the problem sets but you are required to write up your own solution and code.


QUIZZES:
Two quizzes. Quiz dates: Monday, March 16, 1998 and Friday, May 8, 1998.


PROJECT:
A three part group assignment will cover the (1) physical structure, (2) the phonon spectra, and the (3) band structure of a semiconductor


GRADES:
About 1/3 homework, 1/3 quizzes, and 1/3 from the project.
