Here is a very short blog post. Within this blog post, I have links to things like Rob's Twitter page at @rbmiller as well as to a page explaining what DOM stands for. What do you notice when you hover over Twitter handles when you're on Twitter?
I also have a section that is highlighted because it was important. Maybe you want to quote it or tweet it like you would do in Medium? For an example of things you could do with tooltips, try to look for all the tooltips that you can find at this Medium article. Some places where tooltips are used include when you hover over the image of the author of the post, as well as the social media sharing buttons, and of course, the highlights on the page.
Now, here's a link to Tooltipster. Go through the "Getting Started" guide, play with the demos, and think about how you want to style different types of tooltips. Tooltipster has a lot of flexibility around this, including 5 provided themes, many variables, and ability to write custom HTML inside the tooltip.
