Cross Registering Instructions

As space allows, we welcome students who wish to cross-register for this course.

Susan Wieczorek, a registrar at Harvard, outlines the procedure for cross-registering below. If you are a Harvard student interested in cross-registering, just come to the first class with the appropriate paperwork.

  1. You will need to get a cross-registration petition from the Harvard FAS Registrar, 20 Garden St.
  2. Complete the form and have Professor Rivest sign it.
  3. Take the signed form to the MIT Registrar for another signature.
  4. Bring the form back to the Harvard registrar.
  5. On your study card is a question about number of courses you are taking through cross-registration, but there is no place on that for the course number or instructor signature. Here is the URL for the Grad Student Handbook with details. But note that the deadline dates shown are from last year. It hasn't been updated yet.
We thank Chris Stein for providing this information.
