David Shnidman

David A. Shnidman was born in Boston, MA on Dec. 21, 1936. He received his B.S and M.S. degrees in electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.), Cambridge, MA in 1959, and the Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University, Cambridge, MA in 1965. He is presently with the Radar Systems Laboratory, Raytheon Electronic Systems, in Bedford, MA. Prior to joining Raytheon, he worked at M.I.T. Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington, from 1971 to 2000, Bell Telephone Laboratories from 1965 to 1971, and the Air Force Cambridge Research Laboratory from 1956 to 1965. Dr. Shnidman was chairman of the Boston chapter of the Information Theory Group during 1978-1979. He is a member of Eta Kappa Nu, Tau Beta Pi , and Sigma Xi.
