Purpose

The purpose of my project was to create a web page about a layout of a golf course. The web page would contain pictures of the golf course and information about each hole. To be able to put pictures and information about a golf course would allow a golfer to get to know the layout of the course without ever having been there before.

Steps

The first step of the project was to go to Fresh Pond Golf Course and take pictures of its layout with a digital camera. Then download the pictures and edit each one. The most important step was creating the web page itself. The layout must be able to present the information in a clear and attractive way. Since the page contained a lot of pictures the layout must also minimize downloading time for the viewer. Another important part was determing the size of the pictures.

Conclusion

Working on this web page was a new experience for me. I have never before created a web page until this seminar. I learned how to design a web page and use HTML. Another great part was being able to use a digital camera, before this I had never even seen one let alone used one. It was also a new experience to edit the pictures and change the image sizes. It was fun playing around with the different pictures and finding the right brightness and contrast. The hardest part was learning how to use HTML and creating the layout of the web page. I had very enjoyable time working on this project. It was a lot of work but worth the experience it gained me.
