I grew up as the second of two Chinese-American daughters in La Puente, CA, which is a suburb of Los Angeles. My mother is a teacher's aide, which explains my nurturing, education-centric childhood, and my father is a retired computer programmer, which explains my technical bent nowadays. I am a junior in the EECS department, with a variety of interests, from biomedical engineering to the Internet to computer graphics (I interned at Silicon Graphics this past summer). Most of my relatives are in CA, so I will probably return there after I graduate, but for the present, I'm enjoying my sojourn into the East Coast. Here at school I'm quite active, involved in my dorm McCormick Hall, as well as organizations like the Tech, the Society of Women Engineers, Student Ambassadors (Alumni relations), and the Chinese Students' Club.
