7.03 ARCHIVES

The Biology Department maintains an archive that contains numerous problem set and exam questions from past semesters. Since the content of 7.03 is updated from year to year not all of the problems in the archive will be relevant to the current course, nevertheless it is strongly recommended that you use the archive to practice solving relevant problems in preparation for the exams.

  Course Description

 

The principles of genetics with application to the study of biological function at the level of molecules, cells, and multicellular organisms, including humans.

  • Structure and function of genes, chromosomes and genomes.
  • Biological variation resulting from recombination, mutation, and selection.
  • Population genetics.
  • Use of genetic methods to analyze protein function, gene regulation and inherited disease.
