Spring 2009
8.011 in the spring of 2009 will have small classes of students.
Each faculty member will meet with each class for one hour on Monday,
Tuesday, and Wednesday. A session which involves a short review of
the concepts and techniques, and then working examples and answering
questions. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, graduate teaching assistants are available
to help the students with the homework and help them prepare for
exams. Exams are given every Friday at 10 am, in Room 32-123.
Our goal is to convey the concepts of the basic physical laws in Newtonian Mechanics and
their applications, and to provide the knowledge and tools that
you will need to continue your studies in science or engineering.
We hope you will enjoy the course.
