8.01X Physics I

Forum

The 8.01X Forum is a place to ask and answer questions (either administrative or content-based) about 8.01X.

To Participate in the Forum

1. Go to http://forums.mit.edu.
2. Select "Academic Conference".
3. The first time you enter the Forum, you need to register.
  • Selecting "Academic Conference" will take you to the "Quick Login" page.
  • Choose the first option: users with "username@mit.edu" email addresses.
  • The registration process requires that you have an MIT certificate. (If you do not have one, you can obtain it through a link on the Quick Login page.)

4. Subsequent visits to the Forum will not require registration; the above process will be skipped, and you will proceed directly to the list of course numbers. Select Course 8.
5. On the next screen, select 8.01X to reach the discussion folder.

A Note on Student Privacy

MIT's Student Information Policy provides that the names of students enrolled in a given class are part of the confidential student record. Forums, however, are by default open to all registered users (those with username@mit.edu email addresses), which makes student names (full names, not Athena login names) associated with the class available to all within the MIT community.

However, after all students have registered, access will be limited to 8.01X students and staff.

Note: You are not required to participate in the Forum if you don't want to (although it's recommended!).
