Massachusetts Institute of Technology Physics 8.02  Information on Hour Test #1

When & Where:

The first Hour Test will be held on Friday, March 2 during regular 8.02 lecture hours. For students whose last names begins with:

• A - K in Walker (3rd floor), Room 50-340. Walker Memorial is located on East Campus. Please enter from the river side (Memorial Drive).
• L - Z in Room 26-100.

Please take the test at your assigned lecture hour.


Material Covered:

The first hour test will cover:

1. The first 3 problem assignments.
2. Material from lecture demonstrations.
3. (New 2/26) Some Concept-type questions will be on the test in addition to the more analytical types in Handout #4.

• It is a closed book test.
• You may not use a calculator.
• You are not allowed to bring any notes.
• (New 2/26) Useful mathematical/physical relations will be provided with the test. Those for this test are available here: postscript or PDF.

There are no make-up exams.

Exam Review

Professor Bradt will give an exam review during regular 8.02 lecture hours on Wednesday, February 28.
