Information on Hour Test #2
When & Where:
The second Hour Test will be held on Wednesday, March 21
during regular 8.02 lecture hours.
For students whose last names begins with:
A - K in Walker (3rd floor), Room 50-340.
Walker Memorial is located on East Campus.
Please enter from the river side (Memorial Drive).
L - Z in Room 26-100.
Please take the test at your assigned lecture hour.

The second hour test will cover:
Problem assignments 5 and 6 (nothing on dielectrics):
Ohm's law and energy losses
Kirchhoff's rules
RC Circuit
Magnetic force on a charge
Magnetic force on a current element
Ampere's law
Solenoids
Biot Savart law.
There is a lot of material here; you must do some serious studying in order
to master the broad concepts as well as the details necessary for problem
solving.
Material from lecture demonstrations.
This test will emphasize the analytical type of problem found in the
Handout #4. However, brief concept-type questions may be included.
It is a closed book test.
You may not use a calculator.
You are not allowed to bring any notes.
Useful mathematical/physical relations will be provided with the test.
