Exam 2 Information For Spring 2011:
Exam 2011 and Solutions to Exam 2011
Exam 2 is Thursday, April 7 , during the evening (7:30-9:30 pm) in 34-101, 26-152, 32-082, 10-250, and Walker Memorial (rooms are assigned by 8.02 Section, here are the assignments). Classes the next day (Friday April 8) will be canceled. The equation sheet for this test is here. The make-up exam will be given from 9 am - 11 am and 11 am to 1 pm that Friday in 32-082. YOU MUST HAVE PERSISSION FROM JOHN BELCHER OR PETER DOURMASHKIN TO TAKE THE MAKE-UP EXAM!!!

NOTE: Test details (contents, number of questions, etc.) change from semester to semester. Make sure that you read the exam information for this test in addition to looking at previous exams. In particular: we strongly urge you to take at least a couple of these old exams in an "exam-like" situation (put away notes, solutions, turn off music, kick out roommate, set the timer for 2 hours and go). This will help you determine what you need to work on before the exam.

NOTE: Some of the sample exams below include Faraday's Law problems. Faraday's Law is not covered on the second exam this year Spring 2011!

Exam 1 Information For Spring 2011: Exam 1 is Thursday, February 24 , during the evening (7:30-9:30 pm) in 26-100, 26-152, 32-082, 10-250, and Walker Memorial (rooms are assigned). Classes the next day (Friday Feb 25) will be canceled.

NOTE: Test details (contents, number of questions, etc.) change from semester to semester. Make sure that you read the exam information for this semester in addition to looking at previous exams. In particular: we strongly urge you to take at least a couple of these old exams in an "exam-like" situation (put away notes, solutions, turn off music, kick out roommate, set the timer for 2 hours and go). This will help you determine what you need to work on before the exam.

Here is how I'd think about these sample exams: if you have problems with them see someone immediately -- you will definitely have a problem with the real thing. If you find them straight forward then you aren't guaranteed success (make sure you are comfortable with the PRS & PSet questions too) but you shouldn't do too badly.
