  • To make it work you need to to the following:
    1. download and uncompress the file,
    2. open the terminal window and go to the folder where the rasmol_32BIT is located
    3. make the file executable by entering the following command:
    chmod u+x rasmol_32BIT
  • 4. to start the rasmol either enter "rasmol_32BIT" or double-click on the icon.
    5. remember to download the help file from
    http://www.openrasmol.org/software/RasMol_2.7.3.MAC/rasmol.hlp.gz
    and place it in the same directory as rasmol_32BIT
