Handout posted: Problem 1 (c) on PSet 1 involves the a somewhat non-intuitive (but standard) "unit": Magnitudes per square arcsecond. If you're having trouble with the conversion, please take a look at the handout posted in the "Problem Sets" section of the website.

Off-by-one error: The second edition (not the third) turns out to be the most recent edition of Binney and Tremaine. This is the best one to buy. Apologies for the confusion!
