The interests of the Fu group span the disciplines of synthetic organic and organometallic chemistry. During the past decade, the group’s research program has focused on:

• discovering new chemical reactivity
• developing stereoselective processes
• elucidating reaction mechanisms

The group is currently pursuing studies in four main project areas. Links to each of these project areas will lead you to additional information (including selected publications).

• asymmetric nucleophilic catalysis with planar-chiral heterocycles

scheme for nucleophilic catalysis

• new chiral ligands for transition metal-catalyzed reactions

scheme for chiral ligands

• palladium- and nickel-catalyzed coupling reactions

scheme for palladium and nickel catalysis project

• chemistry of boron heterocycles

scheme for boron heterocycles
