Learn about ESG

  • If you have Frequently Asked Questions, we have frequently given answers.
  • Last Year's Brochure - Really, this is different, and so are you. You'll be getting a copy of our new brochure by regular surface mail soon, if you haven't got one already.
  • Our Old Pamphlet - Our new one won't be vastly different. You'll be getting one of these in the mail as well. Then, you can tell us the difference between a brochure and a pamphlet, because I sure don't know.
  • This is a fairly recent version of ESG's Floor Plan. Note that the piano is not in the piano room, but the kitchen is clean. Also, due to water damage, some offices may be relocated. We're dealing.
  • Contact an ESG student - E-mail Jeremy Hurwitz, hurwitz@mit.edu, (570) 772-1459 and he'll forward your question to a recent ESG undergraduate. If you include your interests, academic and other, as well as the reasons you're considering ESG, he'll try to send these to someone who is best able to address your concerns.

How to join ESG

  1. First, get admitted to MIT. Then, you'll be getting our New Brochure in the mail.
  2. Attend our Orientation activities (see the ESG Orientation Schedule, or the ESG brochure in the summer mailing).
  3. Meet with current students and staff to discuss your interests and learn more about whether ESG is right for you.
  4. The details of the application process will depend on how the Orientation Schedules, both ESG's and MIT's, evolve. Details will be given on our ESG Orientation page; check for updates over the summer.
