In general the French and
American responses were very similar. I'm curious to know why
some of the French said that the gender of the person giving the
compliment matters. In France do guys think that when another
guy gives him a compliment that the guy is homosexual? Do the
girls in France think that when a guy gives her a compliment that
the guy is trying to hit on her? I ask these questions because
the Ameicans' responses to these questions would be "yes."
That is why some of the Americans implied in their responses that
the gender of the person giving them the compliment matters.
