General Information:

The Warehouse is a century old building that was completely rebuilt and renovated in 2001.  It has 120 efficiency apartments,  of which almost all are reserved for first year graduate students.  The remaining rooms are occupied by the Warehouse “RA’s,” or resident assistants.  These are continuing residents who, along with the housemasters and house manager, provide support to our new students and plan programming whose goal is to create an active community and insure a successful start at MIT.

All rooms in the Warehouse have a private bath and small kitchen.  The building also has a large common room with pool and ping-pong tables and a grand piano, a media room for group and individual study, a well-furnished gym, a TV room, bike and laundry rooms, and a large common kitchen which can be used by all of our residents.  In addition, there is a beautiful roof deck which is open seasonally.

The Vice Chancellor and Dean for Graduate Education, Steve Lerman and his wife, Lori are the faculty in residence and provide many opportunities for the residents to get to know each other and are invaluable as sources of advice and counsel to individuals, both personally and academically.

Like all MIT graduate residences, the Warehouse is NON-SMOKING building. Smoking is strictly prohibited ANYWHERE (including the roofdeck) on the property, and violations will result in loss of housing.
