Consortium Benefits
Joining the ISN Industry Consortium offers a range of benefits
to companies, based on level of participation. These include:
- Access to cutting-edge research in diverse nanotechnologies, such as multi-functional
materials, mechanical actuators, energy absorbing materials for ballistic
protection, chemical/biological sensors and protection, far forward medical
treatment, biomedical engineering, process engineering, mathematical modeling
and simulation, and systems integration.
- Collaboration with MIT faculty and students in state-of-the-art nanoscience
and engineering laboratories.
- Opportunity for licensing ISN inventions.
- Opportunity to participate in research planning and to commission ISN research
targeted to soldier needs of particular relevance to the industry sponsor.
- Knowledge of U.S. Army's development efforts for new soldier technology.
