  • mechanical behavior of materials: development and numerical implementation of constitutive relationships, micromechanical modeling, fracture mechanics, structure-properties relations for heterogeneous material systems
  • mechanics of soft biological tissue, woven and non-woven fabrics, and composites
  • constitutive modeling of growth and remodeling in soft tissue
  • innovative manufacturing, process modeling and simulation, finite element-based design methodologies
