Theme 1.3: Imaging, Sensing and Other Applications of Carbon-Nanotube Devices

The ISN plans a program of fundamental research to capitalize upon the diverse capabilities of single- and multi-wall carbon nanotubes. This research will develop scientific understanding to enable technology needed to harness CNT capabilities for Soldier protection and survivability.  CNT capabilities of potential interest include sensing, molecular electronics, light weight, exceptional mechanical and thermal resilience, electrical conductivity, and heat transmission Further details of the ISN CNT program, including specific projects will be available later in 2007.
