An Introduction to Student Life Services at MIT

Student life programs encompasses an abundant range of talented staff and valuable services designed to enrich the MIT student experience. SLP includes:

• Fraternities, Sororities & Independent Living Groups (FSILGs)
• Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay and Transgender (LBGT) programs
• Latino Cultural Center (LCC)
• Public Service Center (PSC)
• Residential Life Programs (RLP)
• Student Activities Office (SAO)

Each of these departments and programs is committed to enhancing the learning experiences of all MIT students by providing outreach, services and opportunities for new challenges and experiences. SLP's services, outreach and opportunities support the student experience in areas of intellectual, personal and social development that occur beyond the classroom. We promote faculty and student interaction, encourage student responsibility and concern for others toward the empowerment of students to establish a meaningful life and relationships within this community.
