Get Involved @ MIT!

Once you get a handle on your academics, you will find that you have time to get involved at MIT. Getting involved is a great way to do the things that you enjoy, to give your life important balance and a great way to meet people who are interested in the same things you are. You might want to get involved in dorm or campus government. You might want to continue your involvement in volunteer work. You might want to get involved in club sports. The options at MIT are endless!

Academics are important! Getting involved gives you a chance to blow off some steam, make friends and keep things in balance. You’ll meet other freshmen as well as upperclass students. You’ll make important MIT connections that will surprise you when they are important to your future…you never know! You can get involved in things that take a little time to begin with as you get your bearings…..and then you may find that you can take on more – check it out and see what works for you!
