In the Internship Programme, students work on projects in collaboration with the industry. This demands students to deploy their initiative, creativity and problem-solving skills to devise innovative solutions for practical problems in the industry. They are also put through the rigours of leadership roles in their fields of specialisation to further test their potential and abilities.

For example, the Industrial Immersion component of the MEBCS programme consists of two intensive six-week periods under the direct supervision of an SMA supervisor and in collaboration with participating companies. The students complete a series of projects at the host companies which develop and assess their communication, leadership, problem-solving and resource management skills.

The Internship Programme benefits both students and industrial partners. It gives the students valuable work experience by allowing them to familiarise themselves with the rapid developments in the industry. In return, the organisations can benefit from the research carried out and evaluate their performance for prospective employment in the organisation.
