The Student Atheneum is a place where SMA students meet, work and learn together. In the Student Atheneums located at NUS and NTU, each student is allocated a cubicle equipped with a computer, as well as other equipment shared by all. Students can use video conferencing and other forms of internet correspondences to communicate with their MIT lecturers and classmates. They also enjoy online access to their course lecture slides and assignments. In addition, it is the place where the students can also interact amongst themselves.

By bringing the students together in such a shared space, the Student Atheneum creates a conducive learning environment which promotes interactions by meeting, working and learning together. It allows them to forge strong networks that will benefit their individual research and even professional careers upon graduation.
