Ken Pucker, COO of The Timberland Company

As Chief Operating Officer, Ken is responsible for footwear and apparel development, U.S. and international sales and operations, global marketing, supply chain operations and strategic initiatives.

Since joining Timberland in 1992, Ken has served as an Operations Analyst, Puerto Rico Plant Manager, Chief of Staff to the Chief Operating Officer, Vice President of Product Management, Senior Vice President of Footwear, Senior Vice President of Footwear and Apparel, and Executive Vice President. Ken assumed his current position in 2001.

During his tenure with the company, Ken has consistently delivered exceptional results. Examples include: initiating Timberland’s licensing efforts for seven product categories and one territory; delivering a 50% increase in North American wholesale footwear revenue over a three year period; and introducing strategic global categories across footwear and apparel. Under Ken’s leadership, Timberland launched its first e-commerce site, the Timberland PRO™ series sub-brand and a Canadian subsidiary. Since 2001, Timberland has evolved into a truly global company, realizing more than 40% of revenue internationally and driving performance through the global supply chain.

In addition to his stewardship of the company’s strategic vision, Ken has shown an unfailing commitment to Timberland’s belief in doing well and doing good. As part of Timberland’s Path of Service program, through which employees contribute more than 55,000 hours of volunteer service annually, Ken provided critical senior leadership support to the first-ever Community Builders Tour. An innovative grassroots initiative which unites local residents, community organizations, key corporations, and select retailers around the concept of empowering the community through service, CBT worked with five US cities in 2004.

Ken received his B.A. from Middlebury College in 1985 and his M.S. in Management, specializing in Operations and Corporate Strategy, from M.I.T. Sloan School of Management in 1990. Ken and his family live in Massachusetts.
