Academic Programs

STS has a vareity of academic programs, from undergraduate classes to concentrations, minors, and majors.

Interested in the history or social implications of your science and engineering work? A number of undergraduate students choose to double major with other scientific or technical degrees. See the double major information page for more.

STS also runs a Ph.D. graduate program, along with MIT's History Faculty and its Anthropology Program, known as History, Anthropology, and STS (HASTS). This program trains scholars in STS research. Some come to the program with a background in science and engineering, while others have undergraduate degrees in the humanities or social sciences.
