Welcome to the MIT Sloan Operations Management Club!
What do we do?
- We bring speakers to campus to talk about issues and applications in operations
- We organize plant and company tours to see operations in practice
- We host an annual on-line operations simulation competition (Ops Sim Com)
- We field a team to compete in the Carnegie Mellon case competition
- We work with the CDO to bring operations recruiters to campus
- And we generally work to create a community to learn and share knowledge about operations here at Sloan
Why are we doing this?
- Supplement and complement education about operations
- Learn about real world applications to add perspective
- Broaden our exposure to the roles and uses of operations
- Increase awareness of how operations fits into the business world
