Course Locker Request Form

A course locker is a special directory for course materials in our central filesystem (AFS). Course lockers are useful for storing all kinds of data related to an academic course. For instance, the locker may be used by students to run programs or access certain data. The form below can be used to request a new course locker or request modifications to an existing locker.

Class Web Pages
Stellar, MIT's Web-based learning management system, provides the easiest way to publish class materials on the web. Stellar also supports class sections, allows on-line homework collection, and has a built-in discussion board. Visit the Stellar home page to find out more about Stellar and view examples of Stellar class Web sites. To request a Stellar site for your class use the Stellar Website Request Form.

Faculty or instructional staff who prefer to create a class web site manually can request an Athena course locker using this form. Course lockers come with a www directory that is pre-configured to allow the publishing of web pages under web.mit.edu. A typical class web site URL would be http://web.mit.edu/(subject number)/www/.

Please list the Athena Usernames of each person whom you would like to have administrative (read/write) access to the locker. These usernames will be put into a group and will be self-administered.
