- Repackaged MSI from MIT License media using InstallShield AdminStudio.
- Needed to add the creation of a workspace folder - C:\WorkSpace
- Setup a custom action to give users write permission to C:\WorkSpace
- Changed 4 Registry keys under HKLM\Software\Esri...

- InstallUser -> Administrator
- User work space -> C:\WorkSpace
- Startup Dir -> C:\Workspace
- Delete the Shortcuts component which contains Print and Help
- Create shortcut for printing "ArcPrint" which points to the
winpress.exe component
- Create shortcut for help "ArcHelp" which points to the arcinfo.hlp
component
- Set all working directories for existing shortcuts (arc, grid, arcedit,
etc.) to C:\WorkSpace.
- Configuration Issues
- C:\WorkSpace is the default workspace. You may want to have a logoff script
or other maintenance script that cleans this up. Additionally, users may
need to be trained to move their final files to their My Documents area.
